"My husband & I dressed up as a graveyard couple...He was the Ghostly Gent & I was the Coffin Bride. We did this 3 times over 5 days for an adult Halloween party, a children's church party & to visit our grandchildren on Halloween Night. We were a HUGE HIT in every way! Please see my review of the Ghostly Gent Plus size costume but I forgot to mention his cane & groom tassle so I've done so here in this review. I had a ball embellising this Coffin Bride costume & here's what I did: I replaced the lace-up ties with black satin ribbon & a couple of black ribbons with white skeletons on them; I added black & white silk roses/flowers/leaves/pearls to the veil's headpiece; I made a bouquet of black roses & black poinsettias w/ 2 glittered magenta spiders, pearls & faux diamonds hot-glued in the flowers, added a skeleton head & wrapped the stems & tied a bow w/long tails w/white sheer wired ribbon that had black velvet spiders all over it; a lace neck collar w/ black satin ribbon in the center & a black/white brooch on top of that. I found a gorgeous pair of large embellished skeleton tassles...black for the groom & white for the bride. I hung mine on the front of my dress from the satin ties & my husband put his on his walking cane, along with a skeleton leg & foot adhered to the bottom of the cane! I also found a white satin quilted handbag that had BRIDE embroidered on it & I put a crystal & silver spider pin on the bag along w/ a black flower & ribbon on the zipper pull. And I wore black skeleton fingerless gloves w/ white lace fingerless gloves over those, black rose hosiery & black shoes. Friends & family could not believe the quality of the costumes or all the detailed embellishments I added. My only complaint would be that the grommets on the front of the dress w/ the lace-up ties were too small & not as well adhered to the dress as they might have been. I also had to wear a black tee because the bodice was too low for me. And you really must carefully iron all the veil & shoulder tatters & trim some of the threads, otherwise they don't hang nicely & can get tangled & messy. By the way, I also added a black grosgrain bow over each of the shoulder tatters at the velcro to give it a more finished look. A PERFECT COSTUME when I was finished embellishing it that was a TOTAL HIT! Everyone wanted to know where we got our costumes & we'll be looking on Costume Express for next year's Halloween or other possible events. Thanks for an excellent product & service!"
