Title: Excellent for birthday party
Date:January 30, 2014
"These were great! They added instant spirit to our pirate-themed birthday party (Boys, ages 7 - 9). I didn't need to have any other decorations! I just bought alot, filled them with helium at a local flower shop, and distributed them around the house and put some on the food table. Each place setting had a bandana, an eye patch and a gold earring. The party began with a sword fight and concluded with a treasure hunt. Easy peasy and loads of fun."

Title: My boys love them
Date:January 30, 2014
"I handed these out at a birthday party (boys, ages 7 - 9) and my boys immediately pasted them to their bedroom windows. They glow in the dark and are quite cool, IMO. Good for LOTS of ages, not just young ones. Some of the decals are quite large so look at the measurements carefully to make sure you understand the size. I cut the pages up and distributed the decals to the group of kids."

Title: My boys love them
Date:January 30, 2014
"Kids love to have little buckets and boxes in which to keep their treasure. I added these tins to "the loot" for a pirate-themed birthday party and treasure hunt. They are fairly small, but held gold coins and jewels well. I placed the tins inside tied, burlap bags, along with tattoos, stickers, pearls, chocolate coins, a skull&crossbones wristband, bandanas, eye patch and a gold earring. The boys loved everything and I knew would love to keep the pail in their bedrooms, to hold legos, or special rocks, etc. To an adults eye they are fairly 'cheap', but the boys (ages 7 - 9) thought that they were incredibly special and were so surprised when I told them they could take them home. :) A couple of the designs seemed a little lame to me (the blue 'pirate' design, and the orange treasure map design behind it) so I bought extra and just handed out the skull and cross bones designs (the two in front)."

"I bought these for my son's 7th birthday party. I put them on top of jumbo-sized cupcakes for decoration and for (one of many) party favors. They were a big hit, providing a great "action" scene atop the cupcakes. They are fairly good size and I think might be too big for regular-sized cupcakes, however. As for the "play-factor", my son was disappointed because a lot of them would not stand up on their own. He kept taping them to the table with scotch tape in order to set up the war scenes he wanted. So, they are mediocre for play, but great when jammed into a cupcake! ha ha. I also added little paper "jolly roger" flags to the cupcakes, The two decorations worked well together and made the kids very excited. (Ages 7-9)"

Title: Eh...
Date:January 30, 2014
"These were flimsier than I expected. And everyone was so excited about the cupcakes that I don't think they cared AT ALL that they were wrapped in skull paper. I handed them out and they were on the floor within seconds. I may not waste my money next year. If I had been more prepared, with the cupcakes ready prior to the party and placed on a display tray to stare at for awhile, then, okay, it would have been a better investment/decoration. If you decide to buy them, please know that they are designed to fit "regular" muffins/cupcakes. I had "jumbo" cupcakes and they didn't reach all the way around. I had to tape them on."

Title: A huge hit for everyone!
Date:January 30, 2014
"I handed these out for a birthday party (boys, ages 7 -9) when the guests arrived, along with bandanas and swords. Everyone LOVED them--especially the earrings. I encouraged the adults to wear bandanas and earrings too. They were a BIG hit (for all ages) and really added to the pirate/treasure-hunt effect. :) I recommend enthusiastically! The earring, of course, is made of cheap, gold-plated plastic. But I didn't expect anything better. They held up well and my boys still wear them. Sometimes they fall off and get lost (especially during sword play) so you might want to buy extra. It really adds to the pirate look!"

Title: Eh...no one played with them.
Date:January 30, 2014
"I bought these for a pirate themed birthday party (Boys ages 7 - 9) and they were barely touched. Granted, I had LOTS of party favors so competition was high, but they weren't as fun as I had hoped. They are difficult to see out of too. The boys much preferred "real" pirate digs such as bandanas, a gold earring, swords, tattoos, gold, and jewels."

Title: A huge hit for 7-8 year olds!
Date:January 30, 2014
"I added these to "the loot" at the end of a Treasure Hunt for my son's 7th birthday party. The treasure included gold coins, chocolate coins, pirate tattoos, pearls, jewels, glow in the dark pirate stickers, a bandana, a gold hoop earring, a small tin 'pirate' pail, and these wristbands. The kids LOVED them. My boys are still wearing theirs weeks later, and I spied a few at school the week following. Boys love 'em. They are unraveling a bit now (three weeks later) but for the price that is to be expected. The boys still wear them. A unique gift that makes boys 'feel strong'. :)"

Title: Lots of Fun--a great party favor
Date:January 30, 2014
"I bought these for a pirate-themed birthday party for 7 year olds. I handed them out, along with bandanas and earrings when everyone arrived. It provided a good 45 minutes worth of fun, outside, sword-fighting mayhem. The swords held up surprisingly well! By the end of the party only one had broken. I think the kids realized that they needed to be handled a bit delicately and adjusted their play accordingly. The handle and blade are fairly solid, but the area where the blade attaches to the handle is a bit flimsy. So the sword is great for carrying around and posturing (of which there was quite a bit!). But actual sword fighting should be done with care. They worked really well for my purposes and the kids were stunned to learn that I actually was allowing them to take them home at the end of the party. A GREAT party favor, or for standard dress up play."
