"Made of durable plastic and some kind of rubber substance, this is an immediate hit. The 5-year old I gave it to mounted it and whizzed around the house pretending to play Quidditch. From the light in his eyes, he was flying just as they do in the movies - he loved it. Comes with a cord to hang it up, which should be used. Just the right size for small children. One additional note: someone should make a Nimbus 5000 label to put on the broom - my nephew wondered immediately if it said that somewhere and seemed slightly disappointed that it didn't. But he got over it very quickly and resumed zooming. This seems like a ( hard plastic) broom that could take a bit of use and still be in good shape"
"The wand is immediately sound and light active. It's very durable hard plastic (and virtually kid-proof) and my nephew immediately began casting spells everywhere. This is what you wish for in a toy - it calls up his memory and imagination. He noted (he's 5) that it called for a "strong arm, Mommy!" - which is true. But you can also get it to activate by tapping it lightly on the floor or wall or table top, so it's not impossible for younger children."
"My nephew didn't ask for this, but we purchased it anyway, and his eyes lit up when he put it on. It's very tall and big, just the way the real hat is in the movie - extremely realistic. Leave time to unpack it and get it to stand upright on its own - otherwise, it tends to flop over because it's been a bit squished in the packaging. We know he'll be playing with this with his friends - he told us so! If someone could figure out a way to put a battery pack and voice messages in the very tip of the hat, so that whoever wore it would trigger the name of one of the houses (Ravenclaw, etc.), it would be even more of a hit."
"This costume is nicely finished, warm flannel, adjustable to various "widths" of kids, has a great hood for inclement weather, has Harry Potter's name and Gryffindor (spelling?) on the front, plus the number 7 and Potter on the back. My nephew got into it immediately, with a huge smile, and didn't want to take it off for 2 hours. This will definitely be something he'll play with for quite a while to come. It feels like a quality fabric, soft to the touch, that won't irritate a child's skin, especially if he/she isn't wearing a shirt underneath. Highly recommended, just for the child's smile that you get."
Kit includes deluxe latex scar, 4-color makeup tray, sponge/brush applicator, scar wax, packet of face adhesive, and full application instructions. *This item is an officially licensed Warner Bros. Entertainment™ product.
"This looks very interesting and really perked up the interest of my nephew when he found out what it was. Instructions seem sufficient and you definitely can't be Harry Potter without the scar. My nephew was chomping at the bit to try it out but we're holding off until Halloween!"
"These glasses make the Harry Potter costume so authentic. They're made of wire, solid, and will probably stand up to lots of wear and tear from younger children. My 5-year old nephew couldn't take them off - he loved looking at himself in the glasses. That's my definition of a hit and for the price, they're very, very good."
